Well, since I have them, I figure I'd take a couple of pictures and compare screens.
You can tell here that our beloved UX50's screen now looks outdated. It does not have enough contrast and always looks washed out. It is by no means a crappy screen, as I'm still happy to watch music videos on it when I'm bored, but compared to the two above, technology has improved.
Look, you can laugh at me all you want about the Zune, at the end of the day, it's a 30 G MP3 player with a screen almost as big as the Clie, and I picked it up for cheap. It can play videos, view pictures, and do radio. It's not a great gadget per se, but it's certainly not as crap as people lambast it for.
Personally I wouldn't ever buy an iPod, that's just my preference, with no ill towards the actual hardware.
The SE W580i has a very nice screen for a cell phone (IMHO), and I love how it over-saturate colours to make things pop. Too bad that video capabilities are cellphone-esque, and the screen is too small to display anything meaningful.
If anyone wants an honest review of the Zune vs. UX50, I'll be happy to write one up.
