Quick question,

I am looking for a memopad replacement app. What I really want is something that allows me to break the memory barrier of 4k or whatever the default memo size is and something that takes advantage of the clie screen size. It also needs to be able to open up and edit memos created with the default palm memo app. So far I have tried QED (breaks the size barrier but not the screen size barrier), psmemo which only added features to the current memo app, TextMemo which again broke the memory size barrier but not screen size barrier. I have also used pedit pro but I quickly gave it up and I don't remember why.

I would be happy with a hack that just allows the default memo to go beyond its current memory size limits. Ideas?

That is a nice hack and I have installed it. Not quite what I am looking for since it allows more space to copy to the clipboard not extend the memo size, but still, a very nice addition to my pda.

Sorry , I have a lot of DAs and hacks and somewhat got confused .

Try ClipPro or ClipExtend5:

With all these I am enabled to select a whole page in Blazer ,than copy it to memo in order to read it later and rearrange it . Then I use MemoLeaf too , so my memos are ranged by keywords which I've associated with colors .

Hope it will help you .

I am using ScrapBook, which not only alows you to use large notes, but an unlimited number of folders and subfolder, so you can form a hierarchicalorder to your notes.

Tried out the various things suggest. Really interesting stuff. Really like the memoLeaf one, not sure if I need it, but it is cool so I will probably keep it installed. Unfortunately that one does not allow you to break the memo size barrier otherwise it would be perfect. ScrapBook allowed you to break the size barrier but is not full screen.

Basically what I am doing is am using the lua port for palm on my ux and need a basic memo application to write programs in. The default memo app from palm is good because it is full screen (which makes reading code easier) but has a limit which really makes things hard. I could and probably should break my code up into separate memos but right now I just have large lines of code that are too big for the memo. I am currently using TextMaker which breaks the size barrier but since it does not allow for full screen makes reading code more difficult.

Have you heard of MoePaint? It's freeware, supports landscape, portrait, and hi-res screens. Its great. It's very hard to find though, so PM me if you need a copy, I can email it.

I suppose you could use WordSmith. It's a full MS Word word processor (when registered) but it is a great memo pad replacement. even when not regitered
