Saw that. It looks pretty cool, but I wonder if it still bends in the middle, like the original. Makes working on your lap a real pain in the neck.
ur supposed to be able to type on ur lap
it was in some review.....

I've heard terrible reviews about those XT keyboards. They are supposedly to small and hard to type on. I have no experience with one personally. No matter how bad the keyboard is, it will still be so much better than the built in one.

It wasn't supposed to be available until June?
It also is expensive, over a $100 USA bucks?

I'd be happy to have any fullsize (NOT the G700 or whatever it is) keyboard to use with my NX70V. I can't wait for the XT keyboard!

I believe it has been out for a while for some other PDAs. I am not sure if the one for the clie is the same thing.

The Clie version of the Stowaway XT (which works on ALL Clies with a T-series connector, no matter what model) will be on store shelves in May 2003, which is this month. There's no firm date on when they will arrive though, so it may not be available until the last week of May, or it might appear any day this week in stores. Either way, all news reports that were released in the last two months list May as the release month. As for price, it will be marked at $99 US to start. There may be discount deals in some stores for them too, but they won't be any more expensive than that unless you buy them from a disreputable store.
They device itself should be just fine to type with, since the letter keys are the exact same size and spacing as a laptop keyboard. The only difference between the XT and the original Stowaways is that they removed the number keys at the top to make it smaller and designed a new way for it to fold up. It now locks firmly out so that you can easily type on your lap with it, as long as your Clie isn't so heavy that it overbalances when you take your fingers off the keys ;).
I'm definitely looking forward to this keyboard, and have been searching for outlets to preorder it, but so far there isn't one. It probably won't be available online until it appears on store shelves at the same time.
Cheers.
