You can only edit txt real files if you copy and them on a memory card.

There is a program called CardTXT which can edit the files once they're on the memory card/VFS.

For PalmDOC files, you can use zdocj, and the files can be stored in the palm's internal memory, but you need a conduit or something to sync them back and forward to your compy.

But, how do I move the txt files to my memory card without going through PalmDesktop?

I thought the only way to move files to the UX50 was through PalmDesktop.

I know I used to move txt files back and forth from computer a few years back when I had my first UX50 and I didn't use anything special.
