hi
I used to have a NX73V/E Sony Clié, but it broke down.
the thing is : I liked very much the ringtone named "airport", that I used as an alarm-clock. I don't know if this ringtone comes with every Palm PDA, every Clié or if it was only installed with the "World Alarm Clock" program I had.
Anyway, is there a way I can find this music back somewhere? (as a midi file, mp3, wav, or anything?)
Or if someone could copy it or record it for me it would be really really really nice.
Thank you very much! :)

yes you can, but I do not know how to export ist.
By the way: you can "play" it on every device but most devices do not have an FM synth.. Treos could play it, too

Well, with a little internet searching... I found an answer for Pierre and All of you.
I had to believe that someone had a utility out there, and I was right. It works like a charm. So I sent the solution directly via email to Pierre and list it here for your info and enjoyment! Once you export these, you can use them in most phones and other pda's that can use this particular midi format.
I Found this thread: http://www.nabble.com/Slightly-OT:-%22Porting%22-Old-System-Alarm-Sounds-to-Treo-755p-td14990660.html
Go and Download: RNS (http://www.ranosoft.net/) 's Mider HoHo 2.1 http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/Desktop-and-Shell/Windows/Mider-for-HoHo-8491.shtml
Pull this file "System_MIDI_Sounds.PDB " from your handheld OR from Hotsync back-up directory.
< C:\Program Files\Sony Handheld\ "Your Device Name" \Backup\System_MIDI_Sounds.PDB >
Use Mider Ho Ho 2.1 to extract PDB => MID and Voila! there are all of your midi files including Pierre's beloved "Airport.mid" ringtone
You can use this on anyones packaged midi "pdb" ringtone files like "Emerald Sounds v3.0.PDB (http://www.freewarepalm.com/music/emeraldsounds.shtml)"
You can also repackage any MIDI files you have into a new PDB using Sony's SoundConverter 2
(I beleive Clies can only play Standard MIDI File (SMF) Format 0 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musical_Instrument_Digital_Interface) and the PCM "adpcm" stream converted WAV files)
Cheers!
