I managed to open up my TJ-27 and replace the battery. All works fine, to my relieve. Only thing is: in the process 8 or 9 small screws were lost.
I have tried opticians and watchmakers, who say they don't have screws "that big" amd a very good ironmonger's who says he doesn't have "screws that small" .
So where do you guys get them?
(I am in Europe)

Philpalm has had a record in sending screws (two people already) If you can take a good measurement of the needed screws, Dan T or I can send you some.
Where have I gotten my screws from? Well my parts on the HP camera supplied some of the screws for myself and the two people who have asked.
Did you lose all the screws? If not you can take off some of the existing screws and see if they fit in the missing sections. Sometimes you will have to live without a screw in certain places. (I have one missing TH-55 screw which I am not worried about) Make sure you hot melt glue dabs so the remaining screws don't fall out.
P.S. unblock your message section so I can send you my e-mail address and more information

Yes! Forget everything I said underneath, the problem is solved.
Still many thanks to Philpalm and what is "hot melt glue"? I found some references and pictures on the internet, but no shop here seems to sell the stuff.
I finally found screws that fit in a rather scruffy shop for second hand mobile phones. I am so glad to have my old TJ-27 in working order again!

I did not lose all the screws, but four that seem pretty vital: they stop the thing from falling apart;-)
The ironmonger says they are one millimeter in diameter (the actual screw, not the head), and perhaps four or five mm long.
I will try and borrow a camera today (mine was nicked...) to take a picture to clarify.
It would be very kind if you could send me some screws and it goes without saying that I will pay for the posting.
My emailaddress is unlocked now (I think). But I will also try a shop here in Amsterdam that sells all sorts of weird parts. Just on the off chance.

Hot melt glue is dispensed by a glue gun that heats up sticks of whitish or clear plastic. Most hobbyshops know of the hot melt glue gun. The stuff is a bit sticky but removeable and I put small dabs over my screws.
Looks like I will add that information that old cell phones contains screws.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like a good idea, but to go out and purchase a glue gun just for my Clié screws... I'll put a bit of tape over them instead!
