Is there a program, hack or whatever that will return you to the launcher after hotsync's. We don't need to always see the sync screen do we? We just need to know if something went wrong !

There's a few apps like that. Aftersync and Syncback are two of them. I would do a search for sync on Palmgear or Handango.
