I purchased a clie SJ30 recently and I'm very impressed. It has been syncing fine with my Imac (OS 9.0.4). However I've now noticed that all files and apps have been syncing except: To do list, address, date book and memo.

Files install no problem back up great too. I just can't seem to get the basics to sync even though all the settings seem to be correct.

Any Ideas any one?

Thanks,

Where are you checking to see if they aren't syncing? Are you going by the hotsync log or looking for backup files on your Mac?What Mac OS are you using?

If it is OS X, it stores your 3rd party app backups in a different home from your built-in databases. I think they are each in a folder in your users file (I'm on a Wintel machine at work right now).

If the hotsync isn't showing a backup (OK DateBook, OK MemoPad, etc), I don't know what to tell you!

To clarify, the hotsync log states that there is a error during the sync process "error 1852402768 syncronization failed" to be exact. As for Mac OS used the imac is running 9.0.4.

Oops, I missed the Mac OS you listed. :/

You might want to check the Hotsync conduits. Are they set to synchronize, handheld overwrite PC, PC overwrite handheld or do nothing?

Which version of Palm Desktop are you using? If you're using 2.6.3 you might want to upgrade to 4.0 (they have it on the Palm web site). I've been using it with no problems with my T615C.

Other than that, I have no solution. Sorry :(

I have since upgraded the Imac to OS 9.2.2 and reinstalled Palm 4 and I still have the same problem.

What do you think will help?

Problem solved!!!
Performed a clean install of Mac OS 9 and upgraded to 9.2 deleted everything to do with palm on the Mac and reinstalled Palm Desktop 4. Everything now works just as it should. Perfect!!
