Does anyone know a way to use the camera button to launch any other application ? This possibility is missing in easy launch hack e.g. or NR buttons too. Thanks! Walter.

I use McPhling and set the camera button to launch the McPhling menu. I'm not sure if there's a hack out there to have it launch just anything.

You posted this proposal some time ago, isn't it? What I am looking for is a direct launch by cam button, NOT phlingmenu+scroll+push. Walter.

Yeah, a few days ago.
I personally don't know of a way to do it directly, but if I run across something, I'll let you know.

Hmm... how do you set McPhling to use the camera button on NR70V? I don't see an option to do so on Version 4.31

I have McPhling 4.10 plus X-Master: Configure - Activation - Buttons/Keboard - Apps - choose Custom then press camera button. I personally use SonyJogPush for Apps AND Back: works fine for starting McPhling, scroll thru last Apps and push Jog to select App. Or scroll to upper or lower end to deselect, push again to leave McPhling. But remember: this was not my original question. Walter.

I think the real Q is: Why didn't Sony put the dang buttons right near the screen, where they've always been?
I'm bleeding to death for those buttons! I might go back to my Prism due to this!
How do all of you play games w/out buttons? Still waiting for an ans. to that one.
Are there special nr70v ver. of games that don't use buttons?

a) I don't play many games (I know...shocker! Doesn't everyone??? ;) )
b) when I do, I leave it in clamshell configuration...not as convenient as tablet, but it's the only option.

nnrr7700vv: you are soo right ! this design is soo superfluous - we could put glue into this our sandwich and it would not matter (except hardreset :-(() - cause there's no real need for buttons as long as we do have xmaster+easylaunch+pagedown hack+messageaseST - Virtual for NRs(www.exideas.com).
Remember: Camera button is the last one we could not hack and abuse hitherto !!
Walter.

sure it's working flexbuttoneng.prc, that really enough unless you want even more cool hacks then install also the fxmappereng.prc and one of the eng fxmenueng.prc, i don't really use the fxmapper, flexbutton is plenty for me, but the fxmapper is really kewl too. anyway try and play, this one is definitely in my top 10, enjoy.
