Hi, Tom. This past summer, I tried out several Spanish-English/English-Spanish dictionaries. For me, the choice finally came down to two, but for the life of me, I can't recall the second. The one I chose was The Oxford English/Spanish Español/Inglés Dictionary for Palm OS, v. 1.0.4., which I bought at Handmark (http://www.handmark.com/). It was the most extensive of the dictionaries I looked at, with more than 300,000 words and phrases. I liked the fact that it was so extensive, and that it included so many idiomatic phrases. It also identifies some usages as specific to a particular country.
The dictionary has two drawbacks. One is that it takes up a huge amount of space: 20 MB, on either the Palm or an expansion card. I currently still have it sitting on my PalmTX, since I've got a good deal of space. The other disadvantage is that it does not offer conjugations of verbs. Even so, I'm really pleased with the dictionary. If I had the decision to make again, I'd again choose this dictionary.
This dictionary lists for $29.95 (though I got a 20% discount). If I remember correctly, there were other Oxford Spanish/English dictionaries for less, but they weren't nearly as extensive. The one I bought was
this one (http://www.handmark.com/products/detail.php?id=314) .
¡Buena suerte!

I'm using Pocket Lingo2 Eng-Sp-Eng & there is the extra benefit of being able to switch between PL modules, so if you have a word open in the American Heritage English Lang Dictionary & switch via tab on the bottom of the screen to go fm Eng lang dict to Spanish for same word & I've had it for yrs & it works on my TX just fine; so it is robust & flexible.
They also have a thesaurus app.

I used LingvoSoft Spanish <->English dictionary (http://www.lingvosoft.com/Dictionary-English-Spanish-for-Palm-OS/) for my year of college spanish. It did the job. However, I use SlovoEd dictionary for every day use. If you've got the coupon the SlovoEd dictionary would most likely be well worth the trouble.

Hey CMS:
I just bought the Slavo Ed deluxe Spanish English Dictionary, $23.50, and am off to New Mexico and then Mexico in a couple of days. I'm not hot-syncing and it's a little unclear which files need to be in internal memory and which go on the card. I assume that files on the card need to go in \palm\launcher. How do you have the app configured to save as much rom as possible?
Thanks,
Tom
