Grumble moan grumble ... I've just had to move to a new PC at work and can't get my TX to sync with outlook anymore. I've come from an XP machine running Outlook 2003 which worked fine using the Palm outlook conduit that came with the TX to a vista machine again using O/L 2003. Syncing to the palm desktop works, the problem comes when hotsync tries to access the outlook data - all 4 of contacts, calendar, tasks, and notes fail. Looking at the settings in hotsync I get an error that the conduit doesn't support my version of outlook, but then lists 2003 as one of the supported versions !?
I've tried downloading the outlook 2007 conduit updater from Palm, have installed that with no improvement. Does anyone have any suggestions that might help?
Thanks,
Duncan

All I know is that it is quite tricky to make hotsync work under vista (thatīs why I keep away from vista), but it can be done. Are you using the special palm desktop version 6.2, which includes an updated hotsync ?

I have the same exact problem, DunkWho. I'm using the latest everything from Palm. I even tried their Vista beta before it became "officially" released.
I've even tried kicking the side of my machine a few times

and both sync with no problems, one is with new Outlook 2007, the other one with Outlook 2003.
But I had to manually clean the registry before installation (everything with "U.S.Robotics") as Palm describes on the support site.
I choose "handheld overwrites desktop" for the first Outlook-Sync (Calendar). Now it works fine.
Give it a try...

Step one would be firing your IT people for allowing Vista into the workplace....

Success! :)
I'm running the latest hotsync 7.0.1 from memory and have been from the start with vista so that wasn't the problem. Yesterday, however, I was trying to dig around office to resolve other issues with outlook that were holding me up (general crashing, freezing when writing an email) but didn't seem to be directly server comms related like my hotsync problem. Anyway, I ripped out a few unexpected bits that had been installed on my machine (small business comms, something else) and low and behold my hotsync is now working, and my outlook is stable (for now ... touch wood).
Thanks for all the comments (useful and comedy!) :)
