Hi, I just purchased an SJ22. I was wondering if you know of anyone that has a custom protective case for it at this time. I tried eb cases which makes the slipper which I have owned for pda's in the past, but they dont have one. I have seen cases advertised for the SJ20 that I guess would fit, I just dont knoe if the layout is exactly the same, (ie buttons and jog dial and back button on the left side)
Thanks

I also have the SJ22 and bought the Sony Clie cover from sony.ca which was a perfect fit *obviously* ;) .....I couldnt find a proper cover for it either and if I found something it was too big or looked akward.

You can use any case designed for the SJ30, SJ20 and even the SL10 if you can live with an extra hole on the side for the USB cable.

I just bought an aluminum hard case for my SJ22 at Amazon.com. It's made by "Iconcepts", and costs about $16.00. It protects the PDA very vell, with a hard case on the outside and neoprene padding on the inside. Best of all, it's very form-fitting and doesn't add much bulk or weight if you're carrying it around in your pocket.
The case does, however, have a very big drawback that you should know about before you buy it. There are two clips on the inside that are supposed to hold the Clie in place. They don't. In fact, I'd go so far as to describe them as worthless. This could cause a problem, since the Clie would fall out if you're not careful opening it up.
I solved this problem by prying out the inner lining, which is a metal piece that holds the useless clips and is covered with the padding. That left me with a bare interior against the back of the Clie. I left the front lid padding as is. I then attached sticky-back velcro to the inside of the case and the back of the Clie, which holds it in the case very well. The velcro also pads it from behind and keeps the Clie from rattling around in the case.
So in closing, I'd say the Iconcepts case is worth it - as long as you're willing to put in a bit of work to fix that one irritating flaw.

The case size and button layout of the SJ22 is exactly the same as the SL10, SJ20, and SJ30. All cases for these products would also work for the SJ22 with the understanding that there could also be an additional hole for a small usb cable input that was present on some of these earlier models. I have done some web research on SJ22 cases and bookmarked a number of websites that were selling cases.
Bellagio Case (http://www.bellagiodesigns.com/Listado_de_Productos1.php?Categoria_1=1&Categoria_2=7&Categoria_3=17&)

Rhino Skin Case (http://www.saunders-usa.com/rhinoskin/prod.cfm?cat_id=5027&prod_id=5129)

These are all leather cases, since that is what I am interested in getting. I am not recommending these cases per se, I am just giving you links to various sites that I have looked at. One note, the Bellagio case allows you to hotsync without removing it from the case. I hope this helps and happy case hunting.
