Hi,
After reading all about the rom upgrade that dmitrygr has developed, I still need to know if it is able to remove the CJKOS on my TX?.
Have searched and not able to find a definite answer to this question.
Would love to try the upgrade, but only if it deletes the CJKOS in Rom.

Thanks... and love the site.

Thanks Edmund,
I just want to get rid of CJKOS altogether.
Be interested to know how you go after you try it?
Are you going to be the first?

yeah, i also want to get rid of CJKOS. but frankly i'm not ready to do it yet.
i'm too lazy to register so many apps after upgraded to an entirely new tx. nvbackup may not work. maybe restoring rescobackup from a cjkos tx on an efigs tx simulator worth tring before doing a real upgrading.

Hi, I am the one who tried dmitry's testing ROM on a CJKOS TX;)
Actually it is not a very hard work, after applying the new ROM on the TX it just becomes a TX w/ out the CJKOS while other things are still inside the RAM. So what you need to do is only installing a new CJKOS on it to re-enable the Chinese reading ability.

BTW, using NVBackup/BackupMan is a must before performing any upgrade/modification, good luck :D

p.s. It will be even more great if there's anyone who can take out the CJK TX ROM for modification...haha

Hi:

I have a regular T/X but wish I could put CJKOS in Rom. Just to add a contrary note to the mix.

Hi all,
Thanks for the advice and info on deleting ROM based jckos on the TX.
Have done a backup and tomorrow will "bite the Bullet" on ROM upgrade.
Let's hope all will be well later.
