question for those using clie viewer to play off of cf

i read that some of you guys have better results when playing movies off to the cf card if you start them with clie viewer

i can't get clie viewer to reconize the movies on the cf card, are you guys using the updated clie viewer? i haven't installed it because i saw no need as i never use clie viewer, acid image all the way

My understanding is that you still have to be in masquerade mode in order to use clie viewer to open movies. Clie viewer may see the movies even if not in masq. mode but will not be able to play them, it will come up with an error message. The only advantage I see to using Clie Viewer is to use it with Masquerade "Trick" mode, so that I can open up the movies on my memory stick without having to turn off masq. and soft reset. Hope this helped.

I'm with unregistered. Even with MS Masquerade turned on, Clie Viewer doesn't see any of the movies, just the pics.

Same here with a slight twist. I copied a movie from my old MS to the CF and viewer saw it just fine. Added two more to the CF using image converter to CFread/write and viewer doesn't see either of them. However, movie player does see them. (Of course, neithger of the new movies will play from the CF, even in LP mode!)

After playing around with viewer a bit, I noticed that I didn't have the newly released Clie Viewer from Sony installed. After I installed it, Voila! All movies on MS and CF showed up in Viewer (with CF in "Trick" Masquerade mode). I was able to get one of the CF movies to play off the CF, but the other ones still froze up my Clie. (These were the Animatrix teasers and I exported them from QT with stereo enable and 44.1 sound settings -- then converted using Image Converter to "LP" mode) -- one plays fine, the other locks up from the CF card) GO FIGURE!!!
