Installed the Wireless Lan card ... after installing using the Mobile Connection Manager it asked me to reset by clicking. When I did that it started blinking and would stop until I pressed power and scroll up to erase all memory.
Funny thing, I noticed the same behavior the other day when installing Versamail 2.5. Prompted me to click to reset, clie blinked incessently until I hit the power button and then scroll up to erase all memory.
Had to reinstall EVERYTHING.
I don't want to have to do that again! Any ideas?

Oh, and the reason I had to reinstall everything is because when I tried to sync so it would automatically restore all the dbs and programs ... it started blinking again!

ACK! I followed the exact same procedure and it worked flawlessly. GOOD LUCK!

Did you try doing a warm (debug) reset? Do this by holding the up scroll button while resetting, and if it doesn't blink when you do this, delete the faulty file and do an MS backup.

Didn't work. I'm wondering if it's PowerRun and BackupBuddy (trying to backup the Memory Stick)?

Did you ever install the system update patch? Highly recommended, it also prevents false hard resets.
When you say it didn't work, the warm reset, the flashing? The warm reset, that's where you use the pin along with holding the page up button instead of the power button. It then doesn't load the VG area and most drivers. Use control H and Clie Files to delete a file if you can identify which one.

Yes, I installed the system update patch. In fact, I installed all the patches. The warm reset worked, but it kept flashing. I think I've narrowed it down to something w/ PowerRun.

So is it the case that these hard resets I've been seeing are spurious ones that the system patch was supposed to address?
