When I do a soft reset, I am finding there is a delay before the Clie responds. It comes up with the Preferences screen but you cannot do anything. Once the delay is over, you can work as normal

Does anyone else get that?

Thanks

Yes, it does take a couple seconds, never really thought much about it though. Usually I have to wait for Tealmaster to come up and reload my hacks. The Clie might be briefly doing some internal functions. As I have added more software, the longer it has taken. Pretty much the same with a desktop PC.

I just thought there may be a tweak that I could do - as per the desktop in some cases.

Cheers

can anybody tell if the NX's soft reset time is different from os 4 pda's such as the T625c (longish)

I noticed that during this delay, the tiny MS icon in the status bar shows an hour glass. I always thought it was just checking something on the MS.

That's it, I watched the little orange MS light on top of the Clie, and soon as the light went out, I was good to go. Good pickup, and yes it corresponds to the hour glass Icon :).
