hey for those who want them i currently have 260 320 X 480 background images on my f-serv i would make a website for em but with that many images it will take way to long todo so if u want them u can find me on

Ok i have receved a couple questions and i think all will like to know this
1: you can freely join the channel and download whatever you like you don't have to share a single thing if you don't want to IRC is not like Kazaa or other simuler file shareing programs. We do encorage you to share and help the channel grow but you don't have to in order to download a single thing

2: Yes you can chat there about ANYTHING you like just be curtius to the others there and to those who are there to help you

Simple i already use irc and my router makes setting up a ftp a real pain i have tried several times

I keep getting closed out of DCC session with ]{night_AFK. Plus there seems to be not much there of interest.

Also, ACDSee [acdsys.com has a plugin that makes it easy to make a 'photos' webpage. It auamatically generates pages with any number of photos per page and thumbnails of each pic.

shieldprod i know the site don't have much right now, remember it's only a couple weeks old. Pluse insted of me posting all the stuff i make ond only that i want to see stuff there from everybody else and i want that to be the main sorce of the backgrounds and skins for the site otherwise it's just a site for me to store my stuff on, I want to see user partisipation so the future of the site is in yours and everybody elses hands. I decided that i will not put anything else that i make on the site untill there is more stuff there from other people.

One question I have, however, is what kind of background images are they (Megalauncher, Yishow...)? I'm running Megalauncher. I just wanted to know before I install IRC. Thanks :-)

Thanks for the help. I'm still a newbie with launchers. My concern with Megalauncher is that 320x320 or 320x480 images made for versions previous to 4.3 supposedly won't show up. I am still too new to this to understand the rationale as to why they wouldn't. This is what was explained to me in another thread, and what I've experienced when I have downloaded other ML backgrounds that weren't made specifically for version 4.3 Thanks for sharing your files. They're appreciated. I'll try them and see how they install. :)

Cernunnos got me thinking I know YiShow Megalauncher and zLauncher all can use backgrounds, can someone tell me what other launchers support backgrounds? i'll get them all so i can test the backgrounds and inshure the ones on my site are compatable or if needed have launcher spacific sections.
And once again if your have a Skin or Background that you made PLEASE submit it i realy want to see what you all have created (become a reguler and you'll get your own section)

Zlauncher not only supports backgrounds, it will load any bitmap that it the right size and depth of colors as a background. One caveat, it loads that file into RAM and doesn't delete it when you chose another. You have to delete them manually and be careful not to delete the active one.

Also... There's a background collection on cliesource. Why not just post everything there?? I Mean HERE!!?

if you perform a COPY/move on the background image... it will leave it in RAM. Normally... just use the 'select' option when choosing a background... and it won't create a copy for you.

Keeps itself clean... ifyou use the 'select' option only.

cool I guess it's only when you do a "backimage" command that it leaves itself behind... I also noticed that Yishow uses bitmaps and they work in Zlauncher.

I have a few images that I made that I would be glad to share...

I followed the instructions exactly, using one background from the collection but it still does not appear. I currently own a ZIRE 71 not a sony ( unfortunately). I noticed all the photos are in 24 bit colour, I think they must be switched to 16 bit colour, does anyone know how.

Sony devices have a JPEG library file built-in and the launchers use that for the JPEG images. If you do a search here, you can find the JPEG library files to download. I rememeber someone posted them here before. It should work on the Zires.

Well I got a LOT done in the last 2 days
site has been 70% updated rest should be done in a day or 2
so then
next week you will see around 1000 new backgrounds that were submitted, I've looked at them and there are some real jems in there
so keep a eye for them they will be in the top providers catagory

great look knight.... one thing..... (small) .... is under your 320x480 button on the left. It pulls up the categories of backgrounds in 320x480 to click on...... I believe the one labeled 'fantacy' should be 'fantasy'?????

Well i have receved quite a few submitions for backgrounds and i am very thankful for them, However i have to date only receved 1 submition for a skin, so once again i'm going to ask. If you have a skin for ANY launcher or Application please submit it. the site will only be as good as you can make it

I would tend to think...... it would be up to the developer to determine whether or not their theme would be listed on your site. I would certainly hope people would not obtain skins/themes which developers have placed on certain sites.... and the users post them on sites without the developer's permission. This may be one reason you haven't had too many skin submissions.

You could check with HazarD to see if he would mind having his themes also listed on your site.... I just don't know.

I do think that should be the developer's themselves who do the submitting of skins/themes to a site. ..... :)

Ok i've receved a lot of questions about when the next update will be done
Answer soon, The hours i'm putting in at work have greately increased since september and i haven't been able to put as much time as i would like into the site. I am working on a update and if things keep going as they are it will be uploaded in about 3 weeks. I haven't abandoned the site just have very little free time to put to it, I thank everybody who as sent in submitions and i promis they will ALL be posted

Ok everybody i know i haven't been around much but heres the scoop
i've had a lot of things change in my life and the time to update the site basicly vanished, i'm nolonger on irc so only way to contact me know is via the site. to rest your minds the site WILL STAY UP i won't be takeing it down and i'll do my best to get all the fantastic material i receved uploaded as soon as i can, when that will be i can't say. but i would like to thank all of you who have made submitions, as always if there is any change in the site or such you'll find it here
