Safely Remove Hardware

When I unplug the Treo from the sync cable, or unplug the sync cable from my desktop PC after a hotsync, there's no "Safely Remove Hardware" option on the lower right panel for me to disable the device first, before removing. As a result, after unplugging, if I replug it to the desktop PC, it's not recognized. I have to reboot for it to be recognized again.

Anyone else experience this as well? Any solution? Thanks!

Palms only connect when you press the hotsync button, then after they release the USB port. You can open the device manage and watch this happen.
