SJ-30 and NT Serial?

Friends

A friend of mine has a SJ-30, and needs to sync to a Windows NT system thru the serial port.  I think we're going to try a serial/USB y-cable from Belkin for the physical connection.  Are there any install hints or settings on the NT operating system side we need to be aware of?

I found some great suggestions thru a ClieSource search, but nothing that related to NT system settings.

Just one... get rid of NT (yuck!), and install Windows 2000 Professional. :-)

Very simple.Get a third party serial sync cable for Sony Clie's at www.innopocket.com,secondly,download Palm Desktop 4.1 from www.palm.com and select 'serial' under your hotsync manager rather than USB.That'll do the job,trust me
