I've used Globalsat BT-338 with my Treo 680 for a long time, and experienced Bluetooth connection problem all the time. More than 2/3 of the time, my Treo would either display "No GPS Found" or "Connecting to GPS" (shows this forever). I had to either reboot my Treo, or battery reset my GPS unit, or both, sometimes for several times, before they will connect to each other.
This week I finally got tired of it, and tried out a Holux M1000. Connects right away with my Treo, every single time, with no need to reboot at all. The M1000 is also smaller than the BT-338, and tracks the satellite faster.
If you've had problem with the BT-338, I strongly recommend switching to the Holux M1000.
