Those of you who took advantage of extended warranties,
From the different chain stores (BB, COMPUSA, CC, Staples, Microcenter, etc...), which store provides the best extended warranty?
Thanks,
John

Personally, I like Best Buy. I did work there during college and I think they have the best warranty out there right now. I always buy an extended warranty when purchasing big items like my Clie and my PS2. I only paid $100 to get my new NX because of the warranty. My NR died and they no longer had that model, so I was going to get the NX60 as a trade in or I could pay $100 and get the NX70. I opted for the 70. A similar story with my PS2. I bought it when it first came out and originally cost $300. Well, it quit reading DVDs and I got a replacement voucher for it in the amount of $300 even when the PS2s price is now $199. I had an extra $100 to spend on some new games. I've never had problems with them, although sometimes you do have to be patient.
Just my $.02

I honestly believe it depends on the store management. I had great service from the north ave. store in chicago for a long time until they recieved new management and it when sour. So much so that I stopped shopping there and bought my vaio laptop and 717 camera at Circuit City. After complaining to corporate BB HQ three times, they seem to be better and got the message. They are willing to honor my service agreement as of last week because I have had issues with my NR. So I'd get a feel for the management staff and perhaps try to talk with their staff as to what they deem fixable. Don't talk with the sales reps as they sell you comfort to make you buy.

Go with Circuit city's plan, it's awsome, I had the nr70v and when it stopped working they swapped me out with the nx70v instead because sony doesnt make the nr series anymore. no hassle and they guarantee the products.
