Installing things

Does anyone know of a program that will just lets you install things without going throug the whote HotSync.

Sometimes I just have to get a new game installed and cannot wait. :rolleyes:

pollyg, you can install just about anything by using MS Import app on the Clie. Just activate this on your clie and it will create a drive on your computer (this of course is if the mass storage driver is loaded arleady, will need cd if not). Then just copy to \Palm\Launcher on your MS. Backout or hit the Home icon and your ready to roll. It's a lot quicker than HotSync.

For some games you may need to enter the serial number first to make it registered, unless you use patched version (not available here!).

It's funny you should mention Pilot Install. I used to use it all the time with my S320, but when I try to use my NR, it causes my hotsync manager to shut down and does not work! Any ideas?

I use Pinstall all the time. Additionally I can pop out the MS and pop it into my PC instead of MS Import. The point is there are several different ways of installing things, I usually just install apps.

BTW, you can beam stuff and download whatever via the internet if so equipped :)!
