How do you translate the size of the original file

How do you translate the size of the original file (and does it depend on the type of the original file) to what is converted via image converter and then onto your memory stick?

File size on the CLIE is mainly dependant upon your Image Convertor settings. There are three options in Image Convertor:

* High Quality (almost 4M/min)
* Standard Quality(~2M/min)
* Long Play (<1M/min)

Beside each of the settings I've put in brackets what I found to be the approximate file sizes. I've converted from MPEG1/DivX4/DivX5 and not found much difference in the resulting size on the CLIE.
