I need my Th55 for the daily work and it`s exact what I need.
But now the digitizer always causes trouble. Often my input is wrong detected.
The trace of the input adds straight lines to my writing.Than the detection is wrong. I now use a protection sheet from NEXAVE (http://www.nexave.de/displayschutzfolien/)
The first years I used the TH without protector sheet. Maybe the touchscreen was to often used. Must I change the glass?

Hi,
Have you checked for the presence of small particle of dust under the protection sheet?
Small particles of dust that haven't been removed before you put the protection sheet can produce graffity errors.
Remove the protection screen an clean the digitizer surface and test it. If the problem still remains may be the digitizer is broken, in that case you should contact DanT for help.

Is this the same as that 'spokes' problem some TH55 people were seeing in the early days?
The TH55 digitizer is more sensitive than most of the ones that came before it, and it was found some screen protectors would put too much tension on it that it affected the writing.
The are loads of threads about that 'tho so I won't repeat - Just search! :)
After experiencing with digispokes (http://www.1src.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45669&page=1&highlight=digispokes) for myself, I got rid of screen protector and use stylus very lightly. Often I just use my finger as stylus. It works great with Jot, better than my iPhone virtual keyboard poking deal that covers about half of the screen. So far, my 3.5 years old TH55 is still scratch free (knock on wood).
The stylus is now stay in the silo most of the time. I have one of those 3-in-1 stylus with pen on the other side of the stylus tip. I use the pen tip more often than the stylus now. Whenever I need to write something on paper, like signing creditcard receipt, I don't have to search for a pen. It will be always there in the TH55 stylus silo. I like this idea so much and keep such stylus in my wallet too as a backup, just in case I forget or don't feel like to carry my TH55 around.
