MS Import, pics in DCIM folder on Palm, drag/drop to folder of your choice, already in .jpg format (no conversion needed)....

I have the same problem, and MS Import does not anable drag/drop at all, near as I can tell. I can get it to find the images on my MS, but all it seems to permit is to delete stuff on the MS. No apparent way to move them any where. In fact the entire MS Import application seems to be remarkably limited in that I can put stuff on the MS - MP3 for example - or I can delete stuff off the MS, and that is it. How do you drag/drop ?

Running MS Import will create a new drive in your Explorer which is directly linked to your Memory Stick.

Right...MSImport should put a drive, "removable disk/drive" on your computer. From there, you can use it as a regular folder...drag/drop, cut/copy/paste, delete, new folder, etc.

To get pics: Make sure when you take them, you've chosen to save them on the memory stick as the "DCIM" format. When in MSImport, there should be a "Palm" and a "DCIM' folder. They should be in DCIM...

Computer 101....:D

Using MSimport open your memstick as a drive, navigate to the DCIM folder. On your PC open a folder that you'd like to store your pics in (Mydocuments may already have a "pics" folder). Line the windows up 1/2 sized. Left clickand hold on the pic you want (it should highlight), drag the pic over to the target folder, release left click. PC will do the rest....
There are many other (and possibly better!)ways to accomplish this as well.

Ok. I got it. I was running MS Export and then initializing MS Import. Seems that when I do that, all I get is a very limited conduit between the two apps. When I start MS Import without MS Export already running, then I get the removeable drive in Explorer. Jeeze Louise ! ! Now all I got to do is figure out Bluetooth. I can get HOTSYNC to go via Bluetooth, but nothing else. I can connect to the PC but it times out after a while because I cannot initiate any activity. I can transfer a business card - like that is something I am really interested in - but I cannot access the web or anything else. When I go to the BT icone in the lower right system tray or through Control Panel, all I ever get is that the file transer service or network access service is not available. Any assist on any of the BT stuff would also be most appreciated. I feel like such an idiot trying to figure this stuff out, and I have been doing network and server design stuff for years. It is not like I am a newbie to this stuff, but it is not at all intuitive and there seems to be very little documentation available - all of the good stuff I have got thus far has been through forums like this one :(

I never use MSexport, clunky and unneccessary.
Check in the wirelees forum for Bluetooth stuff. I've seen some tutorials/threads on Bluetooth setup. From the threads I've surveyed it looks tricky...
