I'm using a TX under Vista Home Prem. Some days ago, I had problems to sync the Outlook calendar. The Hotsync stopped. I fixed this problem by deleting the calendar entries in Outlook, running dbscan on the Palm and syncing again, overwriting the desktop. But since then, I do not get a HotSyncLog any longer. When try to open the log, my browser shows "C:/Program Files/..../HotSyncLog.htm" could not be found.
Does anybody have an idea, how to get the log back?

The problem is the way Vista protects itself. The directory that HotSyncLog.htm is stored in is normally under c:\Program Files\Palm and this directory does not have write access for that part of the hotsync. Right click on your user directory under the Palm directory (Usually the name of this directory contains some of your Palm hotsync name), click on Properties and select the Security tab. Click the Edit button, select your user and then give Full Control and Modify to this directory and click OK. The next hotsync will then be able to write to the log. Unfortunately the data from previous hotsyncs will never come back. ;)

Thanks, that worked.
I'm a bit puzzled, because at first everything worked fine under Vista and I could access the Log. One day I encountered a sync-error and afterwards the log wasn't created any longer. After adjusting the rights on the folder, the log is created again. But I still have probs with datebook sync. I have deleted all calendarentries in outlook and set the HotSync to "Handheld overwrites Desktop", on the Palm I have checked the files with DBFixIt and DBScan without error. Nvertheless, in the (now back again) log I have the faboulus OLERR errors.
Outlook-Kalender
OLERR:05-0002
Auf dem Handheld ist ein allgemeiner Fehler aufgetreten.
OLERR:0D-0004
OLERR:0D-0001
- Nicht synchronisiert
Outlook-Kalender synchronisation fehlgeschlagen
OLERR:15-0002
OLERR:06-0001
This seems to be a rather old problem. Is there a soulution in the meantime. I havn't found any in the internet yet.
