Per a request, I have posted an ATOMIK keyboard layout I made for use with 'thumbboardDA'. The files and installation instructions can be found here (http://www.1src.com/freeware/fileinfo.php?id=1764).

I decided I cannot use the QWERTY keyboard layout on my Palm anymore. I split the keyboard with a number/punctuation pad down the middle. This was an attempt to give both thumbs fair play. Seems to work for me.

I welcome your comments. Thanks. :)

PS: I also added some special (Alt-S) shortcuts for you 1Src.com junkies like me.

You've inspired me, palmuse :)
Here's my submission (http://www.1src.com/freeware/fileinfo.php?id=1765) built on the backs of giants.

Now if only ThumbboardDA would work with Docs2Go... Great job guys!! Makes me wish I could find use for the thumbboard :D

Nice work _Em. I will give it a try.

PinCushionQueen~ My use of thumbboardDA is mostly limited to Blazer and txtMemo. I get tired of poping up my hidden statbar and keyboard in Blazer just to enter a quick web search or id/password. With Blazer in landscape, this interaction is rather seemless. Secondly, I find it nice to leave my stylus in its silo and simply ramble out my thoughts in txtMemo with my under used thumbs. :D Just a couple of ideas. Later.

I've used mykbd to map thumbboardDA to tap&hold on the select button - I generally write text in tejpwriter anyway, but tend to use this method for bringing up the board instead of the menu-driven method inside the app.

I know thumboard DA is free but has anyone tried MiniKeyboard? It looks like it might work in Docs to go but the cost makes me hesitate.

Nope, haven't tried it. My primary keyboard is Pruss' 'myKbd'. I have heard that some do like Mini-Keyboard.

_Em~ Thanks for the 'enhanced' mode tip. I had forgotten about that. It makes capitalizing a little easier.

ATOMIK is not optimized for use with two fingers. It's optimized for one finger. I suspect QWERTY is at least as good, if not better, for two finger typing. But, hey, if you like ATOMIK, I'm not complaining.
