where did all the posts go?

What happened, only posts available go back to late Sept 07?

I looked at "archives" but they are from way back, and don't search very well.

All of a sudden I wish I had copied useful posts onto my local computer....

You can change that by selecting a different value at the bottom of the page for how long ago to show posts. There is a dropdown list with a bunch of options (last month, last 45 days, last 2 months, etc.)--choose one and click Show Threads.
You can't see it from within a thread, though, so "back out" to a main forum and you'll see it.
