I am looking for a stylus with a tip shaped like this for my TX:

I like the pointed tip, because it lets you peck more accurately

I would just get a knife and whittle the tip of one of the stylus's plastic tip.

Then probably use a nail file to smoothen the end.

Stick it in a pencil sharpener.

Now, now, that is not helpful... If you look carefully when you tap, the present stylus is way too thick to give an accurate landing. If, for instance, you tilt your hand when tapping, the accuracy just goes out the window--you introduce an offset into the landing. Granted, it does not matter when doing graffitti, but I am not a graffitti guy..

But no matter how sharp your stylus is there will always be the parallax error present. That is, the visual error due to the fact that the touch screen is spaced away from the actual pixels that you see.

I have an astigmatism (quite bad) so the parallax error is very bad for me.

By the way, if you want to calibrate your screen with more precision when tapping the targets you can actually tap (land) your stylus onto the touch screen anywhere near the center of the target. Next slide the stylus to the exact center of the target and THEN raise it up. This is very useful to me since my poor vision combined with parallax error, and somewhat shaky hand, causes a 'miss' when the stylus is going down onto the target. But it is easy, once down, to slide it to the exact center and then raise it up since parallax is reduced to as little as possible with the stylus actually touching the screen and the hand shakiness is completely steady with the stylus actually on the screen surface.

.
I find, however, an additional problem when the stylus tip is too fat. The stylus tip itself obscures the screen, especially, for half-cell usage. This is particularly troublesome when the stylus is held at an angle. As a result, I cannot quite see where I am tapping.
When I calibrate the screen, I usually take a sharpened pencil and hold it as vertically as I can.

I'd say it's best to calibrate with the stylus that you use the most, not a pencil that you only use for calibration. As the stylus head is round, taping at your usual angle and tapping strictly vertically gives different points of "actual screen touch". I would calibrate at the usual angle that I am comfortable in normal use.

The 4-in-1 pen/stylus combos sold at most office supply stores have pretty sharp stylus tips, much sharper than the ones on standard styli. That's what I use most of the time.

But they don't fit into the palm slot, of course?

Well, no, but they fit in my pocket. If you have to have something that fits in the slot, you'll probably have to modify the tip of the stylus yourself. A manual pencil sharpener, like those sold for makeup pencils, and which used to come in elementary school pencil boxes, might work. Personally, I wouldn't bother, but I'm not you.
