Installed palm desktop 6.2 on my vista laptop. It appeared I could hotsync based on the log. However, I can't see my address, memo in the palm desktop application. Any idea why? Do I need to install palm desktop 4.01 (that's the version of my palm desktop running on my xp laptop which has been running fine)? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The current Palm Desktop 6.2 beta does not support the older PIM applications (DateBook, Address Book, To Dos, and Memo Pad), but only the newer (Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, and Memos). You might be able to try the 4.01, but I doubt it will work. More likely you will need 4.1.4. However, in order for your Visor to be recognized you might have to install the 4.01 version and then install 4.1.4 overtop of it. However, event still you probably will still experience some issues with it under Vista.

Where you able to do other things with 6.2 in Vista? like install an app, and did it do a backup of your files?

Just today I got a Visor Deluxe in the mail that I got off eBay, and I'm looking to get apps on it, but all my usable machines run Vista now. I'm only looking to run a few apps and use it for my work todo list, the rest of the PIM functions I use my WM5 phone for.

Hi!
I think that it is not possible, but still, I'll ask:
Would it be possible to somehow combine old and new Palm Desktop application so that installing the apps is possible?
By combining I meant installing old program, but to use installer from the new one to install applications.
Or is there any other way to install apps on really old Palms - I mean Palm Pilot, which has no irda or memory card?
I think that I'll stick with XP until I (hopefully) find a sollution or I'll go to Linux, because I still use old Palm quite a lot (HandEra 330, Visor Deluxe, Treo 270 for example...).
Hope that this post is not too stupid. ;)
