Hello to all,

I'm a web developer and I own an NX70V. I use it to run my business and track projects.

I've just started tinkering with the video recording functions on the thing.

Can it be set to record in MPEG format?

I'm thinking about ideas for a web site that allows visitors to share their NX videos and such. (I'm in the embryonic stages of thinking this through). It seems it would be best put the files in MPEG format for display on the web.

If it can't record as MPEG, could anyone point me to some conversion software that takes the native file to MPEG?

Also, further ideas for the site are welcomed.

Thanks!
DW

nope, the only option is .mqv which can then be converted to .mov which means you have to use quicktime in association with your page...
I think supposedly the purchased version of quicktime can convert .mov -> .mpg but you can't quote me on that cause i don't own it. Other than that since .mov is one of the lesser supported movie types, i don't think there is that much support for them.

Enjoy.

mqv (quicktime 6) would be much better than mpeg for a web site. MPEG movies are giant. MQVs are tiny.

If you're talking about sharing videos you encoded, please get www.mirc.com and /server irc.autobotnation.com and /join #clie
