I am looking for GPS software for my new TX and found one on the Palm Store site EMTAC Navigation Bundle for $209. It says it is compatible with the TX, but gives a warning that some divices do not read a 2GB card that is required for the maps.

First, does anyone know about this software and have they used it on a TX?

The TX can read up to 4GB cards. However, it cannot read HDSC cards (which start at 4GB -- so check carefully before buying).
I don't think there are currently any devices capable of using the GPS system that can't read 2GB SD cards.

Almost any Palm can connect to a GPS, either by cable or by bluetooth. The TX can certainly read 2GB cards, and should work fine with Emtac. Another option is TomTom, but TomTom won't certify the TX with V6, its current product. I've read of many people who do use it successfully, though.

I use TomTom v6 with a QSTARZ Bluetooth GPS and it is working very well. Garmin does have a certified application and GPS for the TX. One thing to note regarding Garmin: You MUST use Garmin's BT GPS or the software won't work.

I've heard great things about the Emtac software, especially in its support of most older Palm devices like T3. See the head to head comparison:
