Hotsync Problem

I have a TH55 that I am a heavy user of. suddenly it stopped Hot syncing.
the PC computer would make its log in noise than a short time later it would make it again. The error message said some program didn't respond. I fixed all this by reinstalling the programs on the PC and a hard reset with my TH55. by doing this it brought all my programs back to the TH55 and will still add programs to the TH55 Aventgo syncs but the calander and address book no longer sync.

Custom menu from the hotsync menu is set to syncronize. Help.

Now after a little more digging I removed the clie originizer and am using just the palm desktop. I looked in the hotsync tab and the custom tab and I found that the calendar and address book are not listed to even do anything.
How do I get them back?
