What is the best graffiti replacement program? Jot is the only one I've ever heard of, and there was no demo available. Is it that good? Are there any that are better? Thanks.

Tealscript- you can make your own grafitti! Try it, it has a demo period!

Yeah, TealScript was great on my SJ30. However, the standard graffiti works perfectly on my NX so I'm not using it anymore.

If you're looking for the best Graffiti replacement, I prefer Jot more than TealScript because it offers more customization (in my opinion), but it has some serious conflicts with image viewers and hacks, such as TapPad, Acid Image and Mapopolis. So if your life depends on them, then don't use Jot.
Also, have you tried other input methods like Fitaly Stamp (http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?prodID=6774)?

I use fitaly with great success. It has somewhat of a learning curve but once you get used to it, you will be surprised how fast you can enter text into a PDA
Recently looked at the new TealScript. looks very appetizing but it will be hard for anything to tear me away from Fitaly

Right now, I'm trying out TealScript with some success. But I'm still having problem letters (though it was a moment of joy for what was intended to be "odd" not to be "opd").

I used to use Jot, which I really liked. Now I use MessagEase Stamp, which is awesome. http://www.exideas.com/
tealcript has autofill and grafitti 2 built in

What are those two things?

I use Jot with great success. I have never had any issues with using it with Acid Image or Mapopolis or with any other program for that matter. I find it to be quite stable.
But anyways, I purchased Jot initially because Grafitti 2 was based on it. In addition, I can use it outside the grafitti area so I can have it collapsed and still be able to write on the screen. This has reduced my dependence on my NRs keyboard. Finally, each letter has multiple ways of writing each character, making it more like writing on paper. And of course no more up stroke for capitals :)
autofill - type a letter or 2, and the word pops up
grafitti 2 - replaces grafitti 1 (only found on 5.2)

I nominate MessageEase for another vote. Very easy, fast, and accurate input method, especially for getting phone numbers. Best part is that it co-exists perfectly with the built-in graffiti.

I see a lot of votes for Jot, but there doesn't seem to be a trial version of it. Is buying it just a leap of faith?

There is a demo for Jot on CIC's website:
https://secure.cic.com/demo/
Note that I believe that it is only a 4 day demo
