Using bluetooth

I am doing a little research before I buy the BT adapter. If you know the answer (or where I can find it) please advise!

1. How can I initiate Bluetooth Hotsync from the PC? The Clie Handbook only shows how to do it from the PDA, but I thought the point was you can leave the PDA in your pocket.

2. How can I xfer files to MS via Bluetooth?

Based on what I know (so I could be wrong):

1) You can't initiate hotsync anywhere except on the PDA or cradle button

2) I don't believe OS 5 has any type of file transfer option, so this isn't possible right now

2. You can use an FTP program to accomplish the copying of files to MS. Do a search on PalmGear for FTP and VFSFTP and some others show up. You will need to run an FTP server on your PC, but a search on Tucows will get you a (freeware) solution here.

I do not know how to get over the (PalmOS) imposed limit of 115kb/s though (Bluetooth can go much faster - 1 Mbps, I think).

Anyone have a solution for this (artificial) limit?
