Has anyone else had this intermittent problem that when my NX has a soft reset (either on it's own or initiated by pushing the pin in the back), that it actually completes a hard reset (erasing all RAM data)? It has happened several times since I've had my NX; most recently last night, when viewing a map on Vindigo cause my NX70 to freeze. I hit the reset button as I had done before with the same problem, but this time, it did a hard reset. In addition, some of the files on my MS (MS Pro) were also deleted, such as my BackupMan files (ouch -- at least I had MS backups on my computer using Blue Sync (good product, but very slow). It doesn't happen all the time, but is a real pain when it does. Any help would be appreciated.

I've had a soft reset turn into a hard reset once, but that's it. Since you've seen it a bunch, it sounds like one file that must be causing it. Is there anything consistent about when it happened, such as which app you were using or what task you were doing? Or it could be caused by something that gets run after a soft reset, like a system-wide privacy app or a hack, etc. Nothing should be touching the files you have on the MS, so that is really strange. Maybe it's an app with VFS-capability that's messed up. Good luck!!

That patch so far has kept it from happening I believe:)

The system update patch from Sony Support fixed that issue if the patch is installed. There was some powerup issue with the MS that caused the hard resets.
