Has anyone had any experience hotsyncing through a usb hub? I know there used to be a thread on this, but no one has reopened it since the "big crash". All I want to know is, is it possible to hotsync while plugged into a hub. I have a laptop with a usb mouse, and only one usb port. Switching every time I need to sync is a pain, and I tried a ps2 mouse with the clie plugged in, it doesn't work.

My Clie is always going through a USB hub along with at least 9 other devices. I prefer to hook my mouse directly if the PC has more than one port. If not, it still works, just may not be as responsive during the HotSync. I have had absolutely no problems with HotSyncing through the hub. I use Belkin hubs, nothing special.
The hub works on my two Dell laptops, my Sony laptop, and My Sony desktop with no problems! They also work fine on my brother's many PC's too.
BTW, I have used hubs on 98SE, WinME, and WinXP. On XP just plug-em in, the OS does the rest.

I had problems syncing my NX70V with a DLink 7 port hub. However my Palm M515 sync'd with no problems.
The NX70V would sync with no problems if hooked directly to my sole USB port but when hooked into the hub I would get one sync then I would have to either reboot the PC or power the hub off then on to get it to sync again.
I have since upgraded my PC which has many USB ports and I do not use the hub for the PDA any longer.
OK...I was curious.
So I hooked up my NX70V cradle to the 7 port hub on my new PC and it works fine with no problems now.
I am running WIN XP now. I was running Win98 first edition.
So I would say the problem was either the USB port in the old PC or the WIN 98 first edition operating system.

I had a problem with my Belkin 4 port hub (without the hub power src plugged in). I just plugged the NX directly in after that.
