I am trying to figure out the proper syntax for doing 1src forum searches. How do I find a phrase?
For instance, I would like to find an expression "best deal". If I type it in as is, the search engine ignores the word "best", saying that it is too common.
I tried quotes, but that does not work. I tried "best adj deal" but that does not work either...

I just tried enter "best deal" (with the quotes) and it works for me.

It will also find slight variations, like for example "best deals".

EDIT: My mistake, no it wont find variations but it will still search for the exact phrase.
In the results though, the words "best", "deal" will also be highlighted in addition to the phrase "best deal".

If all else fails you can try using a general search engine such as Google.

Try searching with a sequence like this:

site:1src.com "best deal" (http://www.google.ca/search?q=site%3A1src.com+%22best+deal%22&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a)

rcxAsh, Way to think outside the box! I've used Google a lot. But I never thought of using on websites that already had searching built into them. Your suggestion should be included in the sticky they have newbies read before they post.
