I see the selection to enable/disable "Install Service Templates". What is it? What happens (or doesn't) if it is disabled?

Click on the HotSync icon on the taskbar and then click Custom.

I see it. My is enabled. Have no idea what it is for, though..

It is a conduit for installing service templates.

IIRC there have never been any service templates released.

I still don't know what a service template is or what it does.
