BattLogger is the best utility for monitoring the charge of your Palm’s battery and is fully customizable to your preference. You are in control of setting the program to alert you when the battery is in need of charging, fully charged, while its logging, etc. The logging feature is easy to read in both numerical and graphical data. If you prefer to just monitor the power cycles of your battery without alerts, just uncheck the nag me options.

FEATURES:

• Alert if batt charge has reached 100% when charging or still 100% when not plugged in
• Alert if batt charge is already below or equal to the set level threshold
• Time period logging & alerts
• Numeric data for easier analysis
• 3D bar graph for graphical representation of data
• Line graph support
• Command bar utilization for a real-time check of battery charge
• MP3/Wav support for the alert sound
• User-defined schedule of logging and alerts
• Export the log to text file
• User-friendly interface
• Battery Voltage information included
• Set and forget setup
• 2 WAV files included for optional alert sounds (Requires Pocket Tunes), but it will still work without MP3/WAV files or Pocket Tunes
• No alerts Option
• DIA (Dynamic Input Area) support
• 5-way navigation support
• Supports HiRes and LoRes
• 320x320 and 320x480 support

Just a tip, it might be a good idea to take screenshots of your programs with PalmRevolt/SkinUI disabled for that app, as it might confuse people who do not use those programs (and might be disappointed to see that your programs don't have the GUI advertised) :)

Why use it when you could just use BatteryGraph?

Edited: I was being rude without a thought-out reason

I almost thought it was free for a second... apperently not..

Why use it when you could just use BatteryGraph?

It has been talked about on a lot of palm communities. Please do a comparison of BattLogger and BatteryGraph's specs first.

BatteryGraph:

Every time you switch on or off your device the program will log the current battery status in a database.

BattLogger:

Time period logging & nagging. No user interaction needed. Meaning, even while you are sleeping it will tell you how much battery you are consuming. Or while charging, how much charge added per elapse time.

And head to head comparison on functionality and aesthetically, BattLogger will leave BatteryGraph behind.

I have been trying to use Battery Graph and I was disappointed. The display was just impossible to decipher -- the graphing utility was very confusing.

On the other hand, a quesiton for BattLogger: Is there a way to estimate UpTime, that is, not to log unless the power is turned on?

Hi, I tested it on my TX and set it to Log every 15 minutes from 7am till 11:59pm, with no Nags.

It turned my TX on every time it Logged. I could not find an option to keep the TX turned off.

Do I have a conflict app, or is this normal?
My TX is running beautifully.

All the best, woz of oz

Nope, its not caused by conflicting apps.

Thanks for letting us know. We'll gonna add a new option.

Suntzu69... I just downloaded a trial and it turns my T3 on when it logs also. I assume you guys haven't made that mod to the code yet? Rather not use it if it's going to turn the PDA (which then has to time out) on like that.

Thanks,
Steve

So, does it still turn on to log when the power is off? yes it does! I just checked. So what is the point of this program then? It will drain the battery while logging it.. Don't understand...

Can't you read between the lines?

Read first before you react and I'm sure you'll understand.

If you read my reply twice and you still didn't get it and the point of this program, ask the hundreds of customers (as of Oct 4, 2007) why they bought it. Hopefully, you understand one of them. ;)

Aha, I got it.. So there is still a bug there and you are working on it. Fine, point well taken.. But it is such an obvious bug! What "hundreds of customers" would get this product and not notice the bug? :(

Perhaps, our customers use BattLogger as a nagger and a logger. They are getting the best out of it. On Treos where we tested it, it doesn't turn on the light as you've reported. For us, it's not "obvious" because we don't have TX and Clie to test it on. But we are working to fix the bug. We also rely on the would-be and current customers' feedbacks, comments and suggestions. ;)
