I got an email yesterday for a $5 discount on this game (in honor of TLAPD)... I tried it and promptly bought it. It's great fun & addictive, the graphics are fabulous & I highly recommend it. Runs great on my TX :D

Say, I belong to their club and I didn't get an email. But it looks like it may be discounted to club members anyway.

Okay, PCQ tell some more about the game. We want to know. ;)

Well, since you've asked... basically the storyline of the game is that you're a scuba diving treasure hunter & you're diving in the various rooms and cabins on the sunken titanic. In every room there are a plethora of various objects all around. Your task is to find the items on the given list at the bottom of the screen before your oxygen tank runs out (you have 25 minutes of air to do 2 rooms and a bonus puzzle). There are hidden O2 tanks around and if you find one then you get more time.

Finding the items is trickier than it sounds for some of the objects, because some things are hidden by optical illusions. For instance a crowbar was lined up perfectly with the side of a bookcase, even the light reflections on the bookcase and crowbar matched. It's really rather difficult to describe. There's also tidbits of trivia information to read while you're waiting for the game to load.

I recommend downloading the trial, that will give you a good feel for what the rest of the game is like. The trial takes you through the 1st dive sequence (each sequence consists of 2 rooms and a bonus puzzle). Subsequent dive sequences are very similar and appear to be increasing in difficulty. I've completed up to Dive 5 so far (IIRC there are 14 sequences in all). The bonus puzzles consists of things such as putting an old photo back together or finding all the items of Norma Desmond's bag after looking at the items for a period of time then you only get the sillohuete of the items after you enter the room... stuff like that.

If you fail to complete a dive before your air runs out then you have to find objects in the same rooms, but now your list has changed and you're not looking for the same objects as you did the first time (I believe this will also provide descent replay value).

All in all it's a great mind exercise with some nice eye candy. It gets you seeing that things aren't always what they seem.

:D

I must add that you need to make enough room in RAM to allow this game to work. I am using a Sony Clie NX-80V and had around 2.4 MB of free RAM. Titanic continued to crash. I made another 1 MB of room on RAM and it ran properly.

So it probably takes at least 3MB+ of RAM then. Sounds great! I love this type of puzzle much more that shoot 'em ups (although I like some of those too, like Warfare, Inc).

This game sure is a "Titanic" by it self. The whole prc file is a whoppin' 6MB!!! I loaded it on to my TH55, had 2MB on board left, and it still told me that there is not enough memory to run, and then crashed.

I guess as long as I need to keep all my important apps on RAM, I won't be able to play this :(
