So, I am playing around with 2playme and trying to use an option to enqueue a button press upon an application launch. So, following the readme.txt, I downloaded PRCExplorer to my desktop and tried to open a PRC application to look at Button IDs ... I cannot figure out what is going on there..
This is quite complicated..

You can use Bird on the palm to get the button IDs.

OK, I downloaded Bird and it was this package of 9 PRC and PDB files with no instructions on installations or anything. I am just afraid of mocking around my Palm with low level apps. How do I install/use Bird? Is it safe to use?

It is safe to use as long as you don't save any changes. I use it to just view resources/button IDs. IIRC, you just install the bird.prc file and you are ready to go. My version of Bird had a bunch of prc and pdb files but only one named bird.prc, the others were name something like *.pas.prc/pdb.

If you're looking for an easier route, install Pruss' CoordDA (http://www.1src.com/freeware/fileinfo.php?id=1561). Simply run it in the application you want and tap the button you want. It'll tell you the id of the button.

Aha -- now we are talking! I like easy (though I think I may have figured Bird out...)
