Lost datebook files- HELP!

For some unknown reason my desktop just erased all of my datebook files after April 07. I tried hotsyncing (with my preferences set to "handheld overwrites desktop") and now my handheld has the same issue. I tried to find a backup DB file on my hard drive, but the only ones I could find had old information. There were some other .dat files, but I couldn't find a program to open them with. My life is on those files, and I can never re-create them from memory. I'm seriously screwed. Please help me...

The time and date on your PC is correct? Do you have a backup of your Clie on memory stick?

Thanks for the reply. The date and time on my PC are correct. I don't think I have a backup on my memory stick. How do I check?

Use the MSbackup utility on your Clie to have a look.

It might be that the DB got corrupted.

Try the following.
Download dbScan from here (http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/utilities.htm) and run it.
Select "Current" it asks you and then click "Start Scan".
See if it asks you to repair the DB.

Try to back it up first though (export it from the desktop).
