MP4 Video with Clie Movie Player

I have not been able to get a MP4 video to play on my UX-50 with the built-in Movie Player App! I am converting video using Sony IC2 which automatically creates the proper "M4V00001.MP4" file plus thumbnail and places in the proper MP-ROOT folder but when I open up Movie Player and select "MPEG MOVIE" from the options there is none visible in the app (even though I can see it with file manager and it plays fine on my WinPC...). I know that the MP application otherwise works because it plays my VR-100 Video Recorder files just fine... Anybody else "been down this road"/have any suggestions???

As far as I know, MP4s don't play on the built-in player. You need JAm's converted multimedia player (see his website or these forums) from the VZ (I think) with the drivers and that works. Or just get the drivers and use FMP. Or just use TCPMP.

I'm personally sad about the above as I prefer the built-in player over most others but yet again iTunes broke the Image Converter of Sony so now I can't convert anything to play in the built-in player :((( I had this problem about 2 yrs ago than it was magically repaired when I got a new laptop. But now it says "Cannot convert movies". A reinstall of IC1.5 doesn't help :((
