Is it possible to continue to sync my TX with my PC using Palm Desktop and also sync the ipod Touch to iTunes?
I want to be able to continue to have the advantages of the TX but also have the features of the Touch. Thanks.

I have a Tx and an iPod Video that are separately synchronized with my Mac. I use Missing Sync instead of Palm Desktop for the Tx. I don't sync the iTunes library with the Tx although a conduit for this is provided.
Required conditions:
1) Tx to Mac: close iTunes if open, press hot sync button on the cradle. Missing Sync automatically starts.
2) iPod to Mac: turn off Tx, turn on iPod cradle or plug in USB connector (I have iTunes set to open when the iPod is connected.
iTunes announces an "Application Launch Failure" when it's closed because of Missing Sync conditions, but clicking OK closes it.
I imagine something similar can be done on a PC.
Hope this helps

I can't think of a reason why you should have a problem.
It might be an even more transparent experience than the one dmaisusa described since the windows version of iTunes does not normally support non iPod devices.

I have sycned iPods with iTunes and Palm PDA's with Palm Destktop with both Windows XP and Windows Vista for several years and never had a problem with conflicts. However, I have never tried to share music files with both devices.
