View Full Version : Low battery causes Hard reset?

I have had this problem twice now on my PEG-S360.

First, the palm shows the low battery message (something must be draining the battery) but before I can get it home to recharge it dies and does a HARD reset. Ahhhhh. I don't have everything backed up. So I lost everything (although important stuff is in outlook).

I am also running Powerrun and when I hotsync it doesn't find anything on the card?

The first time I Hotsync it gives me a system error and I have to do a soft reboot.

Can anyone help me?

Also, is there any backup utility that works well with Powerrun?

THANKS in advance.

When no power is left in Clie, memory loses everything because it needs power to keep stuff in memory.

Ps. QAnything I should know about the S-360? I just bought one off e-bay to use as a school pda( worth less than my NX-60)

the beam receive will switch back on after a hotsnyc on Palm OS 4.0. Download beam fix and it will fix that bug.
http://palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?prodID=44111

If your beam receive is on and you don't need it.....it will cause faster battery drain.

If you lose your charge completely, you will lose all your data till you hotsync again. You may want to consider backing up to a memory stick if you're away (I do both hotsync and MS backups). Backup Buddy is a good program for that.

There is a S-series forum on this site too, you may want to look around there too for other helpful hints.

Hope this helps

I like your sig!
But shouldn't it be "gadgets" instead of "gadget"?
