I don't know if the reason is NVBackup, but i have some thoughts on it:
Last Saturday i woke up and when i turn on my palm, it wouldn't  . I plugged it into the usb charger, and resetted it. The first thing that popped up after the 2 Palm OS' boot screens (the one with orange logo, and the one with black one) was an error message from NVBackup: "Backup failed"  . I checked the program, and i saw the backupset and an "(incomplete)" next to its name. I did a manual backup, and everything ok. On monday i woke up again, but my palm didn't. Actually, this time it didn't turn on for 2 days  , until last night, when i had to open it and test the battery with a multitester. I was just about to desolder and resolder the battery and then it turned on :) . Again, the NVBackup message appeared. This time i left it plugged (previous times it wasn't plugged) to the charger...Today as i woke up, it wouldn't turn on again...Hopefully i just had to reset it to see it's happy face again.
Has this happened to anyone else, or anyone has any thoughts about this?
Also i forgot: i'm using NVBackup 1.15

To start, NVBackup is now on version 1.21. The fact that NVBackup gave an error message could mean: (1) one or more databases are corrupt. (2) the card may not have enough space. (3) the card could be corrupted.

I would:
(1) copy the entire content of the card to the PC.
(2) format the card, then copy back the files to the card.
(3) be sure to have enough space to allocate a backup (something bigger than the size you have occupied in RAM if you are not compressing it.
(4) install latest version 1.21 of NVBackup.
(5) do a manual backup and check what is going on.
(6) do a scheduled update, but stay looking at the machine.
(7) if you still have problems, send Alex the log.txt files that may give him an idea of the problem. (located in the card in the NVBackup folder).

Hope this helps.
