Is it a MUST to use Missing Sync in order to sync files between memorystick and powerbook?
I am having a TG50/G and the 12" which means palm os5 and palm desktop 4.1...

Can I just use the "drag to handheld" feature??? or is there any other way/s???

You are from Singapore eh....Just got my 17" today and try to figure how to synch with my T665. I am totally new to Mac. Maybe we ought to form somesort of usergroup in Singapore to help each other out...

The new powerbooks should work pretty well with palm os 5 devices. I am able to sync my tg50 with my pb through bluetooth with no hassle updating my pim with entourage calendar and contacts but not mail... haven't look into that actually...

With regards to memorystick.... I tried the ms pro which I believe is not fully supported on mac. not able to transfer files to it. will try on a blue memorystick...perhaps after work...

trying to do without the missing sync.........

I am able to synch with dekstop 4.1 now without missing synch. Will try the MS later and see if I can synch with Ical.

I leave the Sony PCMCIA memory stick adapter in the Powerbook G4 (titanium) and offload data and pictures daily.

The 128 meg sticks are a convenient Zip equivalent.

Also have a Lexar USB Jumpdrive 128 for quick file sharing between a Toshiba laptop and the G4.

The TG-50 syncs easily between Mac and PC over USB or Bluetooth. Bluetooth is almost unbearably slower than the USB syncing, especially for a more than 10 meg backup.

MP3 files are very large, and have to be sent to the Memory Stick (which is slower than the internal memory).

see my other comments in other thread about PD 4.1 to see how to fix NetFront backup problem.

Sindu, if you can sync with Palm Desktop, you can sync with iCal (via iSync of course). Missing Sync won't help you there.

MS is PC formatted.
