I've been reading the launcher threads and there seems to be a lot about skins and things which are not of current interest to me.

What I am interested in is finding a simple and reliable way to launch apps from the Memory Stick. It would be best if I could install them directly to the stick rather than having to copy them over.

Launcher X says it can do this but the review says no. Y iis reputed to be too complex.

Any wods of advice from the more experienced memebrs?

TIA,

Jim

All of the popular launchers can launch and catagorize apps on the Memory Stick. Such as ZLauncher, YiShow, Launcher X, Silver Screen. Maybe some of the other ones do too, but I haven't tried any other ones. If you want to install directly to the card, in the Install Tool on your PC, click the 'Change Destination' button and you can choose to install to Memory Stick. Or you could use MSImport and copy the files directly to the /PALM/Launcher folder.

It's hard to say. You might want to look at www.launchplug.com . There is a lot of reviews of the different launchers there. You can also install the launchers and try them out. They all have a free trial period. My favorite launcher is ZLauncher, but I wouldn't recommend it just for the purpose you want. It takes up a lot of RAM. You might still want to try ZLauncher though, as you might like some of the other features it has, and its also one of the cheaper launchers. SilverScreen is probably the simplest is you want to stay with the standard look. It only adds a toolbar to the bottom of the screen. But, I would say you probably just want to install the different apps and try them out as everyone has different tastes and all of them should do what you are looking for.
