I' m looking for an older PDA, I'll only be using it to share files with an old PC. I just need to password-protect some of the files, or secure it with something like a BIOS-password. Will older PDA's usually do this? Can anyone suggest any models? Thanks.

Depends on how "old" you want "old" to be! :eek: Assuming you don't want to revert to pre-color devices, I'd suggest one of the Sony Clie models, like the TH55. Or if you want simpler with no wi-fi, the T665C was a nice one also, though the display isn't up to the TH55's. Check around on eBay for bargains! ;)
Hey, opportunity knocks . . .

If I were going to buy an old PDA I would get a Palm T3. That was my previous PDA & in some ways it's better than my current TX. I miss it's smaller form factor - I actually liked the slider. It's speed, file system & dbcache management are also better IMHO (I need 3rd party software to help my TX behave similarly). I'm sure you could find one on eBay.

@PinCushionQueen
Maybe because it didn't need dbcache management? :p
But I agree, a T3 is a pretty good unit to get and I still don't see the reason it was shelved... And no the T5 doesn't count as a reason.
On the other hand, you might wanna hava a look at a T|C as well (if you can handle the smaller screen). It has the fastest processor on a palm, as well as builtin wifi (no wpa though).

on a newon you wright on the screen like on a paper and the newton translate this to computer fonts or to something that look more like hand wrighting and the best of this thing is more you wright the more the pda learn you scripting and much more easy to use :D
